CPSC Proposes Amendment to ATV Safety Standard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is proposing to update its mandatory safety standard for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to reference the 2017 edition of the American National Standard for Four-Wheel All-Terrain Vehicles Equipment Configuration and Performance Requirements, developed by the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (ANSI/SVIA). The proposed change aims to align the Commission's standard with the latest version of the ANSI/SVIA standard, published in June 2017.
