CPSC Accepts Third-Party Laboratories for Phthalate-Containing Toys and Child Care Items
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is proposing a revision to its notice of requirements for prohibiting children's toys and child care articles containing certain phthalates, outlining the criteria and process for accepting third-party laboratories for accreditation under the Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA). The proposed changes aim to align with the final phthalates rule, published in the Federal Register, and will be codified in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
