Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection Issues Interim Final Rule on Mortgage Servicing Rules Under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (Regulation X)

The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection is issuing an interim final rule amending the Regulation X mortgage servicing rules, which were introduced in 2016, to modify the timing for servicers to provide borrowers with modified written early intervention notices. The Bureau is seeking public comment on this rule.
