FDA Amends Animal Drug Regulations to Simplify Category Assignment

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is revising the definitions of new animal drugs used in medicated feeds to base category assignment on approved uses in major animal species, aiming to preserve therapeutic options for minor species while encouraging future development of new therapies.
