FDA Permits Sodium Formate in Animal Feed and Drinking Water

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending its regulations to allow the use of feed grade sodium formate as a feed acidifying agent in swine feeds, following a petition from BASF Corp. The FDA aims to ensure the safe use of this additive in animal feed and drinking water.
