FDA Releases Guidance on Nonprescription Sunscreen Safety and Effectiveness

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made available a guidance document outlining the safety and effectiveness data required for nonprescription sunscreens to be deemed generally recognized as safe and effective (GRASE) and compliant with the Sunscreen Innovation Act (SIA). This guidance aims to inform industry on FDA's approach to safety-related testing for future nonprescription sunscreens.
