Coast Guard Accepts Sewage Treatment Plants for International Maritime Organization Approval

The US Coast Guard has accepted sewage treatment plants for type-approval to International Maritime Organization resolution MEPC.227(64), allowing manufacturers and shipowners to build and use equipment meeting both domestic and international standards, while also reducing environmental impact.
