Coast Guard Establishes Temporary Safety Zone for New Year's Eve Fireworks in Chicago River

The U.S. Coast Guard is setting up a temporary safety zone along the Chicago River to prevent vessels from entering the water during Chicago's New Year's Eve firework displays, which are scheduled to take place on December 31, 2015, from 11:30 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. on January 1, 2016, to protect the public and vessels from potential hazards.
