DEA Proposes Adding Four Fentanyl-Related Substances to Schedule I

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) proposes adding four fentanyl-related substances to Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, including ethyl fentanyl carbamate, ortho-fluoroacryl fentanyl, ortho-fluoroisobutyryl fentanyl, and para-fluoro furanyl fentanyl. This move would make permanent the existing regulatory controls and sanctions for handling these substances, which are defined as fentanyl-related substances under the February 6, 2018, temporary scheduling order.
