DEA Schedules N-Ethylpentylone as Schedule I Controlled Substance

The Drug Enforcement Administration has permanently placed 1-(1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-2-(ethylamino)pentan-1-one, also known as N-ethylpentylone or ephylone, in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, imposing strict regulatory controls and penalties on those who handle or manufacture the substance.
