Disposition of Unclaimed Human Remains, Funerary Objects, Sacred Objects, or Objects of Cultural Patrimony

The U.S. government has established procedures for handling unclaimed human remains, cultural artifacts, and sacred objects found on federal lands since November 16, 1990, in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
