National Park Service Announces Availability of Final White-Tailed Deer Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for Fire Island National Seashore

The National Park Service has made available the Final White-tailed Deer Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement, which recommends Alternative D as the preferred approach for managing white-tailed deer at Fire Island National Seashore, with the goal of balancing deer population control with preservation of the natural and cultural landscape.
