SNAP Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) Rulemaking Proposal

The proposed rule aims to establish procedures for planning, requesting, and operating the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), in line with the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 and the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988. This rulemaking addresses the Department's authority to provide SNAP assistance during presidentially-declared disasters.
