FERC Proposes Approval of Reliability Standard for Power Balancing Control

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is proposing to approve a new Reliability Standard, BAL-001-2, which aims to maintain system frequency within narrow bounds, and also requests the North American Electric Reliability Corporation to submit an informational filing on the impact of this standard on power flows.
