Coordination of the Scheduling Processes of Interstate Natural Gas Pipelines and Public Utilities

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has requested data from Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) regarding the impact of a 9 a.m. start to the Gas Day on the reliable operation of natural gas-fired generators. The request, made on December 12, 2014, aims to assess the effect of the current start time on the efficient operations of these generators.
