Internal Revenue Service to Re-Establish Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee

The IRS plans to revive the Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee for a year, following a recommendation from the 1989 Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, which suggested a federal advisory committee to improve the information reporting program, a role previously filled by the IRPAC, established in 1991, comprising tax professionals, businesses, and financial institutions.
