NMFS Closes Fisheries for Commercial Blacknose Sharks and Non-Blacknose Small Coastal Sharks in Gulf of Mexico Region

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is taking action to prevent overfishing of commercial blacknose sharks and non-blacknose small coastal sharks in the Gulf of Mexico region due to projected landings exceeding 80% of the available quota as of September 5, 2014.
