NMFS Announces Public Hearings and Webinars for Draft Amendment 9 to 2006 Consolidated Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is seeking public comment on proposed measures to manage the smoothhound shark and other Atlantic shark fisheries, including the implementation of the Shark Conservation Act of 2010 and the Atlantic shark gillnet requirements. The public can participate in two webinars and two public hearings to provide input on the proposed rule.
