NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing by Vessels Using Pot Gear in Gulf of Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by vessels using pot gear in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska, in order to prevent exceeding the 2014 total allowable catch (TAC) limit for vessels using pot gear in this area.
