National Marine Fisheries Service Revises Taxonomy of Hawaiian Monk Seal Under Endangered Species Act
The National Marine Fisheries Service has revised the taxonomy of the Hawaiian monk seal, Monachus schauinslandi, to reflect the scientifically accepted classification, as part of a technical correction to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended.
