Bureau of Industry and Security Amends Microprocessor Export Controls to Harmonize with Technological Advances

The Bureau of Industry and Security is expanding microprocessor export controls to include related software and technology, and prohibiting the use of license exceptions for exports to military end-users, in an effort to prevent destabilizing military capabilities against the United States.
