NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing by Small Vessels Using Hook-and-Line Gear in Gulf of Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited catcher vessels under 50 feet in length from fishing for Pacific cod in the Gulf of Alaska using hook-and-line gear, in order to prevent overfishing and protect the 2014 total allowable catch limit for these vessels.
