OMB Sequestration Update Report to the President and Congress for Fiscal Year 2014

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has released a report to the President and Congress outlining the status of pending legislation for Fiscal Year 2014, specifically regarding discretionary appropriations and compliance with spending caps. The report estimates that a sequestration of approximately $47.9 billion in defense programs and $54.1 billion in non-defense programs would be required if the discretionary limits are not restored to levels agreed upon in the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012.
