EPA Determines Chico Nonattainment Area Attains 2006 Fine Particle Standard
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made a final determination that the Chico nonattainment area in Butte County, California, has met the 2006 24-hour fine particle standard, as indicated by quality-assured air monitoring data from 2010 to 2012. As a result, the area is exempt from submitting a plan to demonstrate attainment and implementing control measures until it continues to meet the standard.
