EPA Revises Exemption for Styrene Copolymers Used in Pesticide Formulations
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revised an exemption for residues of styrene and its copolymers with acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, which are used as inert ingredients in pesticide formulations, including those containing lauryl methacrylate. Toxcel, on behalf of Akzo Nobel Surface Chemistry, submitted a petition to the EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) requesting this exemption.
