EPA Extends Public Comment Period for Navajo Generating Station Air Quality Implementation Plan

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extended the public comment period for its proposed Best Available Retrofit Technology (BART) determination for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) at the Navajo Generating Station (NGS) on the Navajo Nation, initially set to close on October 4, 2013, due to stakeholder requests and ongoing evaluation of an alternative proposal.
