EPA Approves West Virginia's Redesignation Request for Wheeling Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved West Virginia's request to redesignate the Wheeling, WV-OH fine particulate matter nonattainment area as an attainment area, meeting the 1997 annual PM 2.5 national ambient air quality standard. The approval also includes a 10-year maintenance plan to ensure continued attainment of the standard.
