EPA Requests Comments on Proposed Revisions to Michigan's Clean Water Act Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking public comments on proposed changes to Michigan's Clean Water Act program, which will be discussed at a public hearing in Lansing on December 11, 2013. The proposed revisions aim to address issues identified in a 2008 program review and include changes to the definition of contiguous wetlands, new exemptions from permitting, and requirements for mitigating the effects of filling wetlands and other waters.
