EPA Receives Negative Declarations from Michigan and Wisconsin for Hospital/Medical Waste Incinerators

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has confirmed that there are no operating Hospital/Medical Waste Incinerators (HMIWI) units in Michigan and Wisconsin that fall under the Clean Air Act requirements, following negative declarations submitted by the states on July 15 and August 9, 2013, respectively.
