NRC Seeks Public Comment on Draft Regulatory Issue Summary for Reporting of H-3, C-14, Tc-99, and I-129 on Uniform Waste Manifest

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public comment on a draft regulatory issue summary (RIS) that addresses the reporting of certain radioactive materials on the uniform waste manifest. The RIS aims to clarify when licensees can use indirect methods to determine the activity of these radionuclides when they are present at concentrations below the lower limit of detection (LLD).
