U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Amends Regulations for Reporting Safety Events Involving Special Nuclear Material

The NRC is extending the time frame for submitting written follow-up reports on safety events involving special nuclear material from 30 days to 60 days, updating reporting requirements, and removing redundant reporting obligations for licensees and applicants with critical mass of special nuclear material
