Tennessee Valley Authority Withdraws Applications for Proposed Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant Upgrades

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has accepted the request of Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to withdraw its application for proposed amendments to the Renewed Facility Operating License (RFOL) for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN), which would have increased the maximum authorized power level by approximately 15 percent. The TVA had submitted two applications, one for BFN Unit No. 1 and one for BFN Units Nos. 2 and 3.
