Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Requests Public Comment on Voluntary Reporting of Planned New Reactor Applications

The NRC has submitted a proposal to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, requesting public comment on a voluntary reporting requirement for planned new reactor applications, which would require applicants, licensees, and potential applicants to submit information annually, with an estimated 300 hours of annual reporting time.
