Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for Smart Line Chassis Vehicles

The US Department of Transportation has approved Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC's petition to exempt the smart Line Chassis vehicle line from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard, citing that the proposed antitheft device is likely to be as effective as the parts-marking requirements of the standard.
