DOD, GSA, and NASA Issue Final Rule to Make Permanent Authority for Simplified Acquisition Procedures

The Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have issued a final rule to implement a section of the Carl Levin and Howard P. `Buck' McKeon National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2015, which permanently authorizes the issuance of solicitations using special simplified procedures for the acquisition of certain commercial items.
