USPTO Eliminates Publication Requirement for Japan Patent Office Collaborative Search Pilot Program

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is modifying its Collaborative Search Pilot Program with the Japan Patent Office (JPO) by removing the requirement for published applications to participate. Applicants can now submit unpublished applications, as long as they grant access and provide a translated copy of the pending claims from the corresponding counterpart application.
