Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection Issues Final Rule Adjusting Home Mortgage Disclosure Regulation C Threshold
The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection has updated its Regulation C guidelines to reflect the asset-size exemption threshold, which remains unchanged at $44 million due to a 0.8% increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, resulting in banks, savings associations, and credit unions with assets of $44 million or less as of December 31, 2016, being exempt from collecting data in 2017.
