FCC Receives Approval for Closed Captioning Rulemaking

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved the information collection for the Commission's Closed Captioning of Video Programming; Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing; Petition for Rulemaking (Report and Order) for a period of three years. The approval is consistent with the Report and Order, which outlined the effective date of the rules.
