FDA Releases Guidance on Food Allergen Labeling Exemptions

The Food and Drug Administration has made available a guidance document outlining its process for considering petitions and notifications for exemptions from labeling requirements for major food allergens, as mandated by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
