FDA Revokes Duplicative Safety Test Regulations for Biological Products
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is removing general safety test requirements for biological products, as they are duplicative of requirements in biologics license applications and no longer necessary to ensure the safety and potency of licensed products.
