FDA Authorizes Emergency Use of In Vitro Diagnostic Device for Ebola Detection

The FDA has issued an Emergency Use Authorization for an in vitro diagnostic device to detect the Ebola Zaire virus, following a determination that the virus poses a material threat to national security and a declaration by the Secretary of Health and Human Services that emergency use is justified.
