FRA and SJRRC to Prepare Environmental Impact Statements for ACEforward Program

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) will jointly prepare Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Environmental Impact Reports (EIR) for the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) program, a proposed expansion of rail service from Stockton to San Jose, California, with stops in Modesto and Merced, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the California Environmental Quality Act.
