FMCSA Proposes Regulations for Passenger-Carrying Commercial Motor Vehicle Leases and Interchanges

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is proposing new regulations to ensure motor carriers transporting passengers in interstate commerce are held accountable for compliance with federal regulations, by requiring them to surrender control of vehicles and notify FMCSA before leasing or transferring control to other carriers.
