Rolls-Royce Issues Airworthiness Directive for High-Pressure Compressor Rotor Discs on Certain Turbofan Engines

Rolls-Royce plc is issuing an updated airworthiness directive (AD) for certain model RB211 Trent turbofan engines, requiring inspections for cracks in high-pressure compressor rotor discs and expanding the population of affected parts, in order to prevent engine failure and damage to the airplane.
