Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Issues Airworthiness Directive for S-92A Helicopters to Modify Engine Fire Extinguisher Discharge Tube

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Sikorsky S-92A helicopters to modify the No. 1 engine forward firewall center fire extinguisher discharge tube and inspect the outboard discharge tube to ensure proper positioning, following a discovery that the installed tube is too long to effectively extinguish a fire in the helicopter.
