Lycoming Engines and Continental Motors, Inc. Reciprocating Engines Airworthiness Directive Supersession

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is superseding an existing airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Lycoming Engines and Continental Motors, Inc. reciprocating engines with Hartzell Engine Technologies (HET) turbochargers, model TA0411, to address a new report of an additional engine with the affected turbochargers installed, and to prevent turbine wheel failure, engine power loss, oil fire, and airplane damage.
