FRA Issues Interim Guidance on Railroad Use of Processor-Based Signal or Train Control Technology

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is providing temporary guidance on the use of processor-based signal or train control technology by railroads that have not previously obtained FRA's approval. Railroads seeking to use this technology must first adopt approved safety and product plans, and may use a model plan from a railroad that has already received FRA's approval.
