Lewis and Clark National Forest to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Castle Mountains Restoration Project

The US Forest Service plans to develop an environmental impact statement for a project aimed at restoring forest and grassland ecosystems in the 69,610-acre Castle Mountains in Central Montana, with the goal of reducing the risk of high-intensity wildfires and preserving valued resources and infrastructure.
