HUD to Accept Applications for Intermediary Program in Section 502 Direct Single Family Housing Program

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will begin accepting applications for the Loan Application Packaging Pilot Program, which aims to improve the loan application packaging process for the Section 502 Direct Single Family Housing program, authorized under Title V, Section 1480 (k) of the Housing Act. The program, launched in FY 2010, introduced the use of intermediaries to ensure qualified and trained packagers and provide quality assurance reviews.
