USDA to Increase Honey Assessment Rate to $0.015 per Pound Over Two Years

The Honey Packers and Importers Research, Promotion, Consumer Education and Information Order will increase the assessment rate from $0.01 to $0.015 per pound of honey and honey products, with the rate rising to $0.0125 per pound from January 1, 2015, to January 1, 2016, and to $0.015 per pound thereafter, as recommended by the Honey Packers and Importers Board and approved by the US Department of Agriculture.
